U11 County Champions!

Congratulations to our fantastic U11 team who had a great win in the Roinn F u11 Cumann na mBunscol County Football Final last Friday, the 1st of December. We travelled in great numbers to Littleton in the hope that the school could bring back it's first football title. Ballinaclough N.S. proved very strong opposition and got off to a great start with an early goal. The Clonmore team settled well thereafter, and goals from James Gilman, Rachel Delahunty and Charlie Doyle put us in the lead. Some great saves by Seán Keely ensured we led at half time on a score line of 3-0 to 1-1. Further goals from Rachel Delahunty and 2-1 from Charlie Doyle ensured Clonmore had a strong lead heading towards the finish. Ballinaclough attacked with everything they could but great defending from Louis Keely, William Fogarty and Páidi Noonan ensured that Clonmore were victorious on the day on a  score line of 6-1 to 3-1. Captain Páidi Noonan accepted the cup on behalf of his teammates to great cheers from family and friends. Well done to all our team and panel on this great day and for representing Clonmore N.S. so well.
