Trip to Town!

Last Monday, 3rd - 6th class went to Templemore for a very enjoyable day. First we started with an historical walk of Templemore given to us by Ronan Loughnane. It was very interesting and the children got to learn lots about the past of our nearest town. After this, we went to the Garda College for our last swimming session of the year. The children have made great progress in their 5 sessions under the excellent instruction of Chris and Keith from Nenagh. We hope to have another block of lessons in the next school year. Finally, we got a tour of the Garda College given to us by Garda Helen McGrath (special thanks to Paula Gilman for organising). Everybody really enjoyed this and we got a wonderful insight into the life and training of a garda. This follows on from the great talk with Eddie and John from Templemore Fire Station on fire safety and their job as fire fighters. Thank you to all those above who facilitated our many recent activities.
