School Hurling Leagues

We have had a very busy last term with our 3 school lunchtime leagues taking place. 70 children from juniors to sixth class took part in our junior, intermediate and senior leagues, with 40 games in total. The culmination was our finals which took place this week. Our intermediate final saw Limerick defeat Clare, while Clare were victorious in our senior league by 2 points in a very exciting game. A special mention for captain Jack Noonan who won his first senior league on his last day in Clonmore N.S.! Well done to all children who took part. We saw huge improvements in all our players, while having great fun.
We had Tipperary senior hurler, Conor Bowe, and Tipperary senior footballer, Eanna McBride, on hand to present the medals. Special thanks to Conor and Eanna for obliging us.
Finally, thanks to all our staff for facilitating our leagues; refereeing matches, organising teams, tying shoelaces, fixing helmets, the list goes on!! We would encourage all our children to keep up the practice over the summer and get involved with our local clubs. Well done all!
