Hurling League

We finished off our sporting year with our hurling league and what a tournament it proved to be. Having topped the group, Cork went straight into the final where they awaited the winners of Galway and Limerick. This proved a very tight affair with 2 late John Martin goals giving Galway a 6 point win. The final was a classic, with a great standard of hurling shown from all. With the teams tied going into injury time, John Martin again proved himself the hero when he rifled over the winning point to give Galway the win. Mr Derby presented the trophy to winning captain Orlaith Houlihan. Well done to all the players that took part. The level of interest in hurling was wonderful to see and every player showed great improvements throughout the league.
