Hurling County Semi Finals

Last week we competed in two Cumann na mBunscol county semi finals. First up was our u11 team for boys and girls. In a very close game throughout, we were unlucky to lose out in the end to Shronell N.S. While disappointed not to come through, we put in a great display on the day.  We wish Shronell all the best in the county final.
The following day, it was back to Littleton for the u11 camogie county semi final v Poulacapple N.S. In a very exciting game throughout, we trailed at half time by 1 point. But 2 goals from Katie Bergin put us into the lead. Another point from Rachel Delahunty was to prove very important in the end. This left us 2-4 to 1-0 ahead. 2 late goals from Poulacapple meant a very nervous finish, but with great effort from all our girls, we prevailed by one point, 2-4 to 3-0. It was a wonderful day for the girls, capped off with a trip to Supermacs on the way home (thanks to Martin Bourke for sponsoring this). The girls now progress forward to a county final v Rathcabbin N.S. in Semple Stadium on the 20th of June (date tbc). This will be a wonderful experience for the girls to play in the iconic stadium and a lovely way to finish the school year!
