Cross Country 2024

We had a very successful day at the County Athletics Cross County Day held in Thurles recently. In the 3rd and 4th class boys category, Shaun Doran ran a brilliant race to take victory. Shaun was followed home by Louis Keely, who also medelled, Sean Keely and Paddy Egan. This meant that we finished third in the team event. Our 3rd and 4th class girls, all running their first race, had a great experience, while our 5th and 6th class girls performed very well to finish 4th in the team event, led home by Ellie-Mai O'Shea. Finally our fifth and sixth class boys ran brilliantly to take the team gold. Luke Kavanagh and Charlie Doyle finished a superb second and third, with William Fogarty and Páidi Noonan next to finish to help us win our first school athletics team event. Well done to all students who took part and represented the school so well on the day.
