2012 'Lidl Fit Factor'
Pupils from third and fourth classes descended on the UCD Sports Centre for the grand finale prize giving ceremony of the 'Lidl Fit Factor' competition on Wednesday 23rd May 2012. The finale marked a nail-biting end to the national primary school competition to promote healthy eating and physical activity in a programme created by Lidl and the Irish Heart Foundation.
The competition asked schools to submit creative projects expressing what they had learned during the course of the four week long fun and educational programme. The judging panel for the competition was made up of Kevin McLaughlin, Ireland and Leinster Rugby, Eoin Kelly from the Tipperary hurling team as well as broadcaster Hector O’ hEochagáin.
Clonmore N.S. clinched 3rd place overall on the day and scooped €2,500 in sports equipment vouchers and €500 in Lidl vouchers for the school.
We are absolutely delighted with our achievement and it is a credit to the pupils for all their hard work. They really enjoyed participating in the Lidl Fit Factor and we are very pleased to have won 3rd place overall.
